782 Impressions & 27 Clicks - Thoughts ?

So I'm really trying to get my shit together. I am getting similar traffic levels on a daily basis and really wanna work on my ecommerce site to improve it.

I looked at my google search console and today I got 782 impression and & 27 Clicks - How come with all that traffic, i'm not getting high CTR ?

Has anybody got any advise on how I can go about improving this ?

Single Keyword Ad Groups is what returned when I googled it... However, I am not using Google Ads

I seem to be gettign daily traffic, however, it does not seem to be converting.

I am thinking there must be something wrong with my site, if I am getting traffic but it's not converting to sales. I'm so confused.
 
You can't judge on such a low amount of IMPs to be fair. Which landing pages? Which Queries etc?

You need to look at areas to improve and then optimize accordingly.

Is it paid ads or organic? What clicks are you looking for?

I'm confused because I rank for the product keyword - it's quite a unique product, so anyone searching that keyword, will be looking for that specific product. It isn't a high ticket item and the keyword recieved 3600 searches and i rank in 8th position. However, the traffic I seem to get does not convert and it's driving me nuts.

When you say look at areas to improve, how do you mean ? or how do you do that through the google search console ?

You need to be 1 or 2 tbh.

Is it an affiliate link? So much to consider. What's the cookies? What's the offering/ copy/ USP?

And yes GSC is a must. To decipher where traffic is from, search intent, pages actually visited and much more.

It's not an affiliate link, however, i have no cookies. Are you able to explain more about the cookies ? It's offering a brand new womans makeup product.

Any tips on where to learn about GSC ?

Google has its own free courses or there are plenty of other around :)

Your issue maybe the product itself without testimonials, pr, brand recognition etc.
 
I you even would make 1 sale on 27 clicks, that would be a conversion of 4%, which is above average. Unless you have a very good brand, I would consider it likely to not make a sale on such low numbers.

For your answer about improving CTR, you should have higher rankings. And another way to improve CTR is by optimizing your meta titel and description. Try answer the query as good as possible and persuade the reader to click through

Ah right, I was under the impression that 5% CTR was okay ?

Btw how do you work out it's a 4% conversion ? And if 4% Is above average, what is considered and okay conversation rate. Sorry for so many questions, just trying to figure out how to calculate the numbers, so I can get a better idea how of what amount of numbers I need to be hitting.

Impressions are not the traffic your site is getting. They simply show how many times your site has appeared in search results. Also, the number of clicks you're getting is too low, so it's hard to convert. Your CTR is normal, you simply need to improve your ranking and find ways to build trust for your site. Testimonials can help.
See what competitors that are ranking higher are doing that seems to be working and try to emulate that.
(Also use social media to secure sales. Considering your product, you can reach out to influencers for shoutouts!)

Do you think I should leave fake reviews on my WooCommerce site ? Is there any way for Google to detect if I start leaving reviews on my own products?

I'm getting thousands hit each month through organic but sometimes not even making more that $50 .... It gets so frustrating, as I have traffic but it doesn't seem to convert.

He means conversion rate (a sale), not CTR.

Your CTR is fine, but the traffic is low. It would probably take months to get a sale with that amount of traffic.

To give you an idea, one of my sites gets around 200 - 400 visitors per day. It's a high ticket item. I don't make a sale every day. I make about 6 - 12 sales per month. There are of course so many other factors to consider other than just traffic.

No. Please don't leave fake reviews. It's insane. Your product has to be viable to start with.

Maybe hire a pro?

Wow, so with current statistics I would probably have to increase traffic 10 fold to get more sales ? Well any chance of more sales ? Thing is my items are low ticket items but some people tend to purchase a few of them in 2 go. Really gonna have to get this sorted, as the things are I'm struggling financially and I recently lost my IG. Do now all I have is this e-commerce site, nothing more.

Have you any recommendations on where to read about sale conversion and how to calculate the numbers?
