I don't think that's the case. Obviously, you're allowed to answer the question. I'm 99% sure it's not a violation.

bumping generally means posting something just to bring the thread back up. So if you are the last comment you can not post until someone else does or for 72 h

I don't think it's like that. You can reply to your customer queries, but you can't bump your thread offering discounts, special offers etc.
I think a Mod can add more light to the matter as i am not completely sure how it works

Replying to a question is not bumping, so yes, you can reply whenever.
What you can't do is post something like "looking for more orders" if no-one else has posted. That is bumping.

72 hour bumping only applies to consecutive posts. if somebody posts a question (meaning the last post in the thread isn't yours), and then you reply, then that's not a consecutive post.
however if you get multiple questions and then choose to reply to each of them with a separate post, then that would violate the bumping rule, because you'd end up with with several consecutive posts.
if you have to reply to multiple questions (or multiple order confirmations), do it all in one post.

I was given a warning for replying to a question and was told that the question could be answered via PM first and the included again in the 72 hour post.

That's retarded. Every single BST thread the OP answers peoples questions in the thread. There is no point to PM because a lot of potential buyers most likely have that same questions.

I was the one who gave skittles the infraction because my understanding of the 72h bump rules was like what prab1996 posted above on this thread and that 's more or less what I pm'ed the OP to do.
In light of the responses by the other mods, it seems clear that I was in the wrong and I 'll reverse the infraction.

Thank you BB for the detail but, sometimes client say Please confirm, so I guess PM is a good way but we should be also allowed to post on the thread that your order is confirmed. To avoid any future disputes about service i hope you can understand.
