$7000 Net Off eBay Last Month, Heres How...

Wow great thread. I have to say though that selling replicas with the branded name is illegal. Booman your right about the purse parties. I knew a lady that got busted by the feds at a party - she made millions off it but did not pay taxes. I'll tell you this - I live in a city that I can get anything replica cheap (except ipods) like $50 rolex/cheap purses, but dont want to pay the piper for it. So my question is do you have a paypal setup that cant be traced back to you or are you just chancing it? Thanks

Guys this isn't selling replicas that are totally branded to iPod... They are unbranded, they just look similar. At least in my case, I don't want to speak for others using this.

Haha, well they aren't branded to Apple or anything so they aren't infringing on their copyright. But yes they look pretty much the same so I guess you could call them replicas.

The key is for everyone to stop debating whether it works or not, just friggen do it!!!! Just be smart about your listings.

You're absolutely right! I was just adding some vital info on what I found while doing my due diligence.

Once I find my supplier it's certainly worth a few test sales at the least, and if things work out good then it'd be time to ramp things up a bit!

Oh I know, I'm just trying to kick some people in the ass I guess.

If you want it to work it will work.

Amen bruddah!

I'm in the opposite situation from you though. I can't imagine dealing with shipping and handling. I am rich and lazy.

I am looking for a product that will sell well to an IT/Tech audience and that I can have drop shipped -- and one that still has good margins.

Hmm, well I'll keep my ear to the ground and I'll let ya know if I come across one.

As for the shipping n handling.

1) Go to local post office and have them give you a shit ton of boxes.
2) Print out shipping label from home.
3) Send out.

Once you have the boxes n shit there is no problem. I can be a bit lazy too, but USPS has made this real simple. :D

Smitty got it right for us lazies--you could also just get free Priority mailing boxes from USPS or order them online at USPS.com and they will send them to your house for free, print postage at USPS.com without fees or use Paypal shipping (though sucks sometime) and finally schedule to have USPS do daily or every other day picks ups right from your house.

Nice nice...

Yah, you just eliminated another step for the lazies haha.

Now you don't even need to move out of your house to get the boxes.

I guess I just like the drive :)

Nice post jazz.

Great post, I've got a few questions though. I use to sell replicas but I ran into two problems, first, prices, second listings.

In terms of pricing, how much do you buy a replica on average for (are these nanos and what size)? I have PLENTY of wholesellers that are legit but most don't seem profitable, so I would like to get an idea from you. Also, how much do you then sell them for on eBay gross (unless you already subtracted fees and shipping).

Second, when you list, do you use the word "replica" or anything similar in the TITLE? I know you have to put it in the listing, but a quick search of "replica ipod" shows about 10 results only. As a result, I feel like people only state this in the description, is this the case for you?

Also, how about bold, subtitles, and featuring (or nothing fancy)? Thanks

I am very close to being able to retire to a tropical paradise. I don't even want to do anything that easy. :D

Plus, shipping is really expensive to and from most tropical paradises.

I could outsource shipping, but... I'd rather outsource it to a professional dropshipping company.

I'm making anywhere from 30-70 bucks per...

When I list I do use the word replica.

I don't really do anything fancy.

@ Smitty..

How many GB's does the mp3 players have that your selling? I know a supplier that has the 8gb versions but I cant seem to find anything bigger.

Do you use "replica" in the title (I'm still unclear from your repsonse)?

Are you selling Nano's?

How much do you buy them for?

Thanks

I sell software on ebay and make anywhere from $170 to $220 profit before fees and such. Here's proof of how much I made in the last 31 days on ebay and I only sold 18 items.
