7000 BTC stolen today

How somebody can steal something that aint real?

This is soo BS man.... Every big BTC companies gets hacked once in a while.... Think about it.

Banks are paranoid if BTC survives the will lose their business so, every time I hear about this type if news .. It seems to me like Banks are trying to scare people from BTC.

Ok one thing i dont get from this is :

They are saying that "hackers" got API keys - account logins together with 2FA codes through phishing, malware etc.. OK

Than they are saying that hackers withdraw 7K btc in one transaction from their BTC HOT WALLET ONLY ! What ?!

If hackers got ahold of api keys and account logins there would be numerous transactions where they would have to login or use the API keys to make a shitload of withdrawals etc...
Also users would have complained by now for the missing funds and unuthorized withdrawals etc

If they had access to the hot wallet than the whole hot wallet would have been emptied not only 7K ..

+ a sudden BNB pump in the last month ?

The whole explination is sketchy

EDIT :

And now here comes the saviour :

Most people in this space are naive and they would believe anything you tell them.
API was compromised from many users.
Knowing that some users are limited to 2 BTC withdrawal
There has be 1000's yet there is only one. Your edited post you see that asshole of Justin pretending that he will buy 40m worth of bnb trx and whatever, makes you wonder if this is not some manipulation from Binance in cooperation with Justin.. If anyone is holding some crypto still I suggest that you sell close to the 6k range. There were really huge amounts that got bought in the 3.1k until 3.8k range. Big numbers! when those will start selling the dump will be unbelievable.

Cheers everyone!

Hmm whats new in it Bitcoin exchanges get hacked each year, and it's always a insider hand they can never find out Then they spilt the profits and be happy and invesfprs cry. If you're dumb enough to leave your money in a exchange you can't complain.

Don't know why people are criticising Bitcoin even people who have fiat loose funds.

We can hack together. WOOT!

This is an unbelievable story but could be true. I use Blockchain wallet and so far never faced any problem. There was a time in the past I logged into my BTC wallet after 1 year and the BTC was untouched. I have enabled email authentication. But fear is now what the hackers hack the blockhain site? May be it's time to get a desktop based wallet. First Mountgox and now Binance. Difficult to trust these platforms.

oops time to change career path lol

The thing about this is it all depends on who you are stealing from.

A financial house will take the legal route to come after you, a crime boss/ drug baron will go down a totally different route.

The theory that is circulating on telegram is that something big is about to happen where people would want to withdraw BTC quickly and in large volumes. Then the above exchange would have blocked withdrawals for 7 days while they "fix" this robbery issue.

This twitter account you cited above has gotten some stuff right but has also published a lot of FUD that didn't confirm itself.

So best thing to do is gather several opinions and arrive at your own conclusions about this. I don't think the next week chaos scenario will happen. I think Binance was really hacked this time.
