1.- Forget about interest targeting, its not neccesary and broad works so much better

2.- So how the algo can know who your client is? you target with the copy. Speak to your ideal client and make sure only those people will click on it (particularly first lines) that way FB will optimize way better

3.- Retarget is dead, at least the traditional way of doing it. You only use retarget to upsell current customers with another(more expensive) offer. Facebook already do the traditional retargeting for you.

4.- Ads that dont seem ads. Hook prospect with a scroll stopping image then sell the click with a killer copy.

5.- No traffic campaigns, only conversion. (as long as you want sales)

6.- Use different ads to target different segments of your audience. For example lets say you sell pet products, you make one ad for dog owners and another one for cat owners. That's the new targeting.

7.- Don't relay on only one ad. Theres no thing as a winning ad, many ads should work together so when you win the auction, Facebook have many options to show the perfect ad to that person.

Is this for service based businesses or products? Or both?

My friend owns a web/app dev business. Can I acquire clients via facebook for him?

Yes you can. However for B2B I would use cold email because is way more cost effective (only B2B)

Do you know any services that sell the service of sending out cold emails?
Assuming I provide a target audience (niche + city) and the email copy?

Sorry for my question but what is the use of cold emails?

Good points, although one big part in marketing is to always continue testing regardless of the platform.

So I would suggest still keeping a separate campaign testing out interests and lookalike audiences just to have a better overall overview.

Good info specially since Fb is killing more interest targetting. Broad is the way to go

Yes,interest targeting is not neccesary, you will get better performance without interest in your ads. I test it for many times with different products. it show me good result without interests

Thanks for sharing such helpful info. Lot's users are using fb Ads but not getting targeted sales and traffics, hopefully this would be helpful for them.
