7 Is The New 10 in Google

I have seen it but I hadn't yet seen it on first page results. Starting around page 3 or 4 for a lot of the keywords in my niche i start to see 3 ads on the top and 3 ads on the bottom, effectively limiting search results. Sometimes its actually less than 7....

Less organic results, more paid results. More click on the ads, more money. Buy GOOG.

yeah , looks like they will show only paid results , maybe after few years there will be only paid results

I found that these results are typically when your search queries are brands or pictures.
For example: pictures of dogs
However, when you place an adjective in front of the word that triggers the 7 search results, you get the 10 again.
For example: funny pictures of dogs
So brands and pictures. What else has anyone found that triggers a 7 result page?

This also makes me think more about putting a much stronger emphasis on building good domain authority than before.

It's not that bad if you have pages at position 6-7, coz in the regular listing of 10 people click more on the 9th or 10th than on the results between 4-8.
