From my experience there are only 4 ways to get traffic:
1. Lowest level: you beg for it, write private emails and beg to get included, to write guest posts, write posts yourself include famous people and beg again to be mentioned.
2. Medium level: you spam. This forum is well known for it
3. High level: you get organic. Either you get lucky and your post goes viral, or you happen to come up with keyword which is not absolutely saturated or BS sounding and earn organic search engine traffic.
4. Godlike: you pay. Social media ads, direct ads, adwords etc.
That's basically it, whatever you do it will fall in these 4 categories.

Do you REALLY want to use emails with your domain in newsletters to people who are basically your competitors? I feel like I'd be drawing attention to myself from guys who can just snuff me out in minutes. While I scrape by to build backlinks he can get my best KW and blast the article through a PBN, pow, I'm screwed.
Also, would it be possible for a 300k hits/mo website just get in, take my post, publish it and get ranked over me because I get 40k hits/mo?
Not criticizing the method, the whole post is amazing, just curious what you guys think.
