6 Ways to Increase Your Website Traffic (Get Ready to Work SMART!)

Without a doubt one of the best guides for getting traffic I have read. It was short, sweet and to the point, with a touch of humor. I learned more from this than the other 20 or 30 things I read before it. You deserve all your success, and I wish you even more.

How i can rank my site on page of google?

Wut!? Learn SEO man.. I've written countless threads lately as have others - use your head and start searching those out. Take it all in and then start practicing.

I have read this post thoroughly and it is a must read for every beginner in seo world..thanks for sharing this mate

[h=3]6 Ways to Increase Your Website Traffic

1) Target your page 2-3 organic rankings
2) Use PPC copy from top companies in your page descriptions
3) Make list posts that feature sites you want links and traffic from
4) Sponsor an Infographic
5) Sign up for every single newsletter in your niche
6) Publish one blog post daily that targets a low search volume long tail keyword[/h]

Seems i'm the only idiot who's actually trust the 2 and 3 page placed websites more than the ones on first page ( due the crap what you find in the first page in most times .. reason bhcrap ( no offence but it was horrible and in some cases still is )) :D And when the topik is intereting, most cases the things what actually do interest me, then i do surf far deeper than just 3rd page on 00gle . So don't neglect the ones like me and if you have a proper website , with the walue, try to get multiple pages to the first 3 pages of that d''n search engine.

As per method, second one i got interested after going through hands on training of adwords , here locally, where the tutor validated my tought of using ads ( spying )as a ranking factor.

thank u man for the kind info to improve our website traffic.

Thank you for sharing. It will be good addition to other promotion methods such as guest posting, q&a and review sites, pages on hubpages and squidoo, "paid for sharing" methods etc.. So I added your publication to my list.

Great Post.

This is just smart - Love IT!

A few things I do in addition:

I will look at the description of books in Amazon and Quora around my keyword. The copywriting there is priceless to add to a description or the intro of the post itself.

I will also look on Forbes etc... and find authors who pop up around my keyword "forbes" searches. I then retween their stuff and start forming that relationship. After a month or more, it is no big deal for me to email / tweet and ask them what they are writing about next and if I can help research anything for them. I tell them, I just want a link back to my site really. Thanks

Works well enough.

All these take smarts and work though. That's why I like doing them, I know how lazy most people are. Good Luck and Thanks for the post Tommy.

A Few things that i do to make my page rank on 1st page for a particular keyword.
1. Create a Title Sweet and Short.
2. Write a unique Description which is about 150 words which explains more about your content in about two lines.
3. As i am a UI/ UX Designer by profession, i have created some stunning Infographics which helps me in driving crazy traffic to my content on my blog.
4. Increase your Activity on Twitter , Pinterest and Reddit.
Social Traffic really helps in driving viral traffic.
P.S Do not keep high hopes from Facebook. Keep your Content Short, Simple, Readable and Luring for your Visitors to read more and more.

You can also hire a content writer for affordable prices as there are tones of sites out there with freelancers willing to write some content for $$$.
But i was in luck as my JV Partner is from the same place where i work and she is a content writer herself :P

Some good tips there, thank you. I never know whether to no follow or do follow outbound links though. At the moment I tend to not worry about it and just leave them as they are (I think the default is do follow in Wordpress).

Should all outbound links be left as do follow, or just links to authority sites? I've heard affiliate links should always be no follow or does it really matter?

One of the higher quality posts I've seen around here in a while.. Thanks for sharing some depth to the newbies around here.

OP rocked this one.

Hello, Thank for the post, was really useful, i just summit my first site to adsense (hope the approve it ), my question is about follow and nofollow link.... i check my site in ahrefs, and i have 6 backlinks, and 6 reference domains..... I have 6 nofollow links and 0 follow links.... I read that no follow links give no juice to my site... so how can i change nofollow to follow....

Im really new at SEO, still reading like crazy :)
Thank

Real nice article, won't lie I read it a while back but only just signed up. Think everyone can take something from this. Even coming back and rereading there's a couple things I missed first time round, but where I understand more now I'm going to implement these bits when I get a second.

Awesome post. I'm gonna start working on 3 and 5 right away, replying to newsletters is something I could never have thought. Been procrastinating on the 6th point for long enough. Wondering if the really obscure low search terms are worth the effort. Your post has pointed me in the right direction. :You_Rock_
