6 questions I ask when writing content:
(that you should be asking yourself)
1. Is this related to my niche?
2. Is this a unique viewpoint?
3. Is this content easy to read?
4. Does it create a conversation?
5. Would I have stopped to read this?
6. Does this teach, entertain, or challenge?
The more you say "yes" the better the content.

8. It will rank or not?

Those are great questions to ask before writing.

If I may add something, you have to also focus on sub-niche because when you create content on a niche level, it may be too broad.

At the end of the day, it's much better to have a focus that is an inch wide but miles deep.

This gives you greater opportunities to build domain authority in a shorter period of time.

It's also important to focus on search intent.

People still write content around keyword topics and themes.

I don't think that's going to go away because a lot of the tools available for SEO condition us to think this way.

With that said, make sure you put yourself in the shoes of people who actually type in that keyword into Google.

Ask yourself:

What kind of content are they looking for?

What kind of problem are they trying to solve?

What kind of experience are they trying to walk away with?

Your answer to these and related questions can go a long way in helping your content deliver solid value.

At the end of the day, that's what Google pays attention to, and that is what it rewards.
