Here are some good ways to put together your next topic ideas.

  1. Make a list of your top 10 competition (Good authority sites) Copy their newest articles.
  2. Examine the shares that they have on some of their posts on their page from their social media, and find the biggest tweeted, or G+'d.
  3. Look up a blog in a completely different niche, and merge an article title with your keyword (How To Sniff Out Good Keywords Like a Drugs Dog)
  4. Combine a current popular topic headline with your own keyword (Skin Cream that Even Taylor Swift would recommend)
  5. Dump a whole bunch of your keywords from keywordshitter into a document, and then edit it down to cover a range of avenues for that keyword
  6. Take your webmaster reports and dump relevant keywords into adwords to find any lucrative search terms you might be getting tested for, and expand them.

Good tips, but you must also include the boss of all methods to find topics for new articles - This method involves setting up Google Alerts for keywords of your choice.

Really smart ideas - definitely going to implement this on one of my blogs. Thank you :)

Great ideas for content that you have given us. I will be sure to use some of these in the near future.

Regarding item #1 - Don't copy articles, copy ideas behind them.
Copied content doesn't go well on google and other search engines.
