5x1000 words article or 1x5000 words article?

Hey guys, I have a really important question, i have in mind 5 similar keywords and i want to rank for all of them, what do you think would be better for SEO, 5x1000 words articles or one big 5000 words with all the keywords in it?

5000 for highest search kw and then 1000 for the rest and then internal link everything
 
Depends is there enough content to make one 5k word article based on these keywords, without the article looking poor?

Why not do a 2k article and then 3 x 1k article if there's not enough for one big article.

The main keyword has 50k monthly searches and difficulty score based kwfinder is 40. The other keywords has 5k monthly keywords each one, and difficulty score is 30-35. I found a website which has 4 of those keywords in the same article and ranking #no1 in every keyword. He using these keywords on Headers and I found a lot of comments. Maybe if I will write 5x1000 words of the articles would be better using long tail keywords for the specific keywords? I really don't know what would be better for more traffic.

Why not? I read backlinko, Neil Patel articles which are 5k+ words articles, but interesting to read them. If the article has the keyword which you are searching for, maybe you are scrolling down the article until you find it and then you start reading the specific part.
 
yeah man i also agree with other. 5000 words are very hard to make because you will not find words and also large articles are boring :P

So it's better to write 5x1000 words articles, for example 1x1000 words for"web 2.0 link building" 1x1000 for "guest posts" etc thank the "5 Powerful link building methods" with all keywords into article?

I already have 1x1000 words article with 35 difficult score that ranking first page, but always dancing between 1-3 position. I am using only guest posts from high quality websites with real traffic some are .com some are .edu. Zero PBN links.
 
It would be very difficult to write an engaging article of that length (5000 words). I don't know enough about SEO but as a writer (and reader) I'd recommend splitting up the task to make it easier for you to write and to keep the content engaging.
 
Let me ask you a question. Unless I'm writing a paper, why would I read a 5,000-word blog post? As a follow-up, if I'm writing a paper, why would I use a blog post as a reference when I can just rewrite Wikipedia.

I'd argue that 5 articles at 1,000 words are still too much for blogging. The more bite-sized you can make the article, the better chance someone is going to share it on their social media. For bloggers, I rank social media as more important since it puts content that people may not know they want in front of them. And no bait makes the people bite better than a complex thought wrapped up in a way that they think they can understand. Google may not immediately love you for it, but if you're consistent and people are consistently sharing and flocking to your site, it will eventually want a piece of your pie.

It depends on whether there's enough to talk about in 5,000 words.

The quality will suffer if you'll force the 5,000 words word-count requirement and there's not much to talk about.

I suggest you create the outline first.

Go to answerthepublic.com.

Type your keyword on that site.

See what kind of W or H questions can be associated with your primary keyword or keywords.

Go to Google Trends and see if there's any trending topic that is related to your keyword.

I suggest 5 different pages to target the main KW, but probably more then 1000 words each. I would also suggest for you to write some more content pages with long tail keywords to try and rank for.
 
I think the primary thing for consideration would be to have an article that can promote user engagement, and it spot on in addressing the visitor's quest in obtaining more information on the subject matter.
If a 1000 article can do this, then 5 of these articles would definitely bring even more user engagement and relevancy, which is good for your site's SEO in the process.
Otherwise, if it requires up to 5000 word in order to promote these metrics, then by all means go for the 5k instead.
 
Create content for humans, not for search engine bots. I'd suggest writing a good and comprehensive 3K word article with internal links to other good content. Try to make it interesting to get a good CTR. It's not just the word count that counts (pun intended). Work on quality content that people will read and take it from there.
