Trusted Peers and wise marketers, if you had a $5,000.00 USD budget to market a video for maximum viewership how would you do it?

Would you just pay Youtube directly? Would you do it differently? Do you think you can generate more traffic with other sites? Would all of these views be from real people?

Depends entirely on what the video is about and the audience you want to target

Its a music video for a pop/urban hip hop artist with very good production quality.

Contact writers on popular blogs/magazine sites that write about the genre you are targeting and ask them how much they need to write an article about your video. Add some social media promotion to that and you should be good (as long as the music/video isn't horrible)

I would advise you to diversify your spending, this way you don't put everything in one basket. Try spending some on YT, you can buy some views to pump up the views. Try contacting those Viral Type websites and see if they would like to cover your video for a small set of fees.

Apart from that, you can publish your videos across multiple social media websites and pay for advertisements.

promote it on facebook, adwords, bing, yahoo, twitter, instagram, linked, Pinterest, youtube, dailymotion. You will have lots of traffic.
