I'm not sure what's going on but I've lost the ability to PM. Anyone know what's up?

Do you have to be active for 30 days? Or just be a member of the forum for 30 days?

It is definately 50 posts to PM and 30 days membership as I just went over the 50 posts mark and can now PM

You been here since 2014 and dont have 100 post>?You;re probably the reason why its like that lol
1. This is a new account.
2. I stopped trolling the forums and moved to SAE to actually do IM instead of talking about it. I've done my share of giveaways and have given out plenty of information, thank you. :D

I just think 100 is a bit much. It's a good rule of thumb but rules of thumb can really be frustrating to users that want to get up and going right away.

For example. I have a bunch of 3 year old Reddit accounts and I'm thinking about doing a giveaway but I can't PM anyone for another 50 or so posts. Seems a bit silly doesn't it?

Now I'm forced to troll around until I've gotten enough posts done, while trying to be as helpful as possible. See how that can be a bit of a problem?

I'm sure it will drive more people to buy V.I.P. accounts, but I thought requiring to be a junior V.I.P. to post in the marketplace was good enough, but what do I know about running a successful forum?

I've been a member for 2 years with 50+ posts mate.
I've been able to PM for a while, could be that I was promoted to being able to PM on the old system, but they never reverted it on the new system

I was able to before on the old system that's why I found it so confusing.

I just recently hit 50 posts. At some point with in the next 24 hours I was able to PM.

It was not automatic / immediate. I'm guessing there's a cron job or something that updates account status every X hours or something.

That makes the most sense.

Actually this is not such a bad thing at all. This way only regular member or up will be able to send PM's. This can lead to less cheaters on the forum.

Thread closed - we're back to the old 15 posts unlocks pm ability as before. Thanks for your understanding whist we had to make this temporary restriction.
