50k personal account dead - start over?

Used to get 2-3k likes per post with about 600 power likes thrown in to boost (back when those actually worked). After IG started going hard after those services, I stopped using them and steadily my engagement and reach have declined - my latest post I only got 1k reach and under 100 likes. I haven't botted on this account in over a year, and I did buy followers about 8 months ago but those faded over time.

From 20k-50k I grew from child accounts and the vast majority of my followers are real people (87% according to igaudit.io). I just can't understand how the account has died like this. The app is purposefully not showing my posts to anyone.

My question is, should I bother trying to get the engagement back up using strategies that you read everywhere...or should I just let it go? At this point, I only post once a week or so because I have an arrangement with a brand. Aside from that I have 0 motivation anymore

I'm with you on the 'super loss' in engagment.

I'm not even going to bother until there's a new proven method out there that is actually working.

I'm in the same boat. I have used bots and even bought some cheap likes in the past and my engagement was still good. Hundreds of comments. When I started using engagement rounds + not engaging in them myself I lost it all. I even attempted to block all the accounts in the lists I had. My followers don't simply see my posts anymore and they don't get any engagement elsewhere. I've decided to grow a new account and do it right... No blackhat.

The only thing I'm scared about is if I create the new account on the same device I have the bad account maybe the new account will be affected. What do you think?

The thing with powerlikes died out as soon as IG geared up shadow bans more frequent than ever. Few of my accounts revived after I quit botting

I'm tempted to start again, only thing is that this account is a business one and linked to my FB Ads & Page, can it be unpaired and repaired with another instagram account?

I'm going to test with an aged, new account, I haven't touched yet - see how that grows.

I suppose it's possible that the new account could be affected on the same device, but I'd test it at the very least to see if there's any merit to that theory. In fact, I'm sure some people here have tested that

I don't think I've been shadowbanned because I still get some impressions from hashtags, it just seems like 90% of my usual reach within my own followers has tanked

I would put this account aside and start over few new accounts at the same niche. wont give up so fast
