$50k/mo. no shit?

I have some pretty good success in a variety of niches but am looking to expand...and I remember one of the gurus...Edwards or Carlton..who were talking about how great that golf niche was.

So I began to take a harder look at. I actually signed up for an in-person golf lesson with one of the golf instructors of one of the more popular golf info product businesses online today. Anyway, in chatting him up, he tells me the guys who run the web site are doing $50k+ per month! And just launched less than 1 yr ago.

So I gotta believe it's worth taking a peek into it....even if it does a fraction of that $50k.

I though I saw a post somewhere on here but couldn't find it about someone selling their golf info-product business golfbizinabox.net? I think that's what it was.

He was selling the whole enchilada...site/products/his list. I forget his name but he had like a 10 yr old business and good size list.

You guys think it's worth getting into this racket? Golf niche can be very competitve but man, thats some good coin.

I used to use SSEC a while back and I scraped a golf vendors product list into a site and made some decent money before the domain got kicked to the curb. Golf is great cash but I dont even know how to dominate in it

Speaking of golf... I have actually been managing the website for a major golf retailer that is doing over $1mil a year on the website and between running the ad campaigns, talking with the club company reps, and seeing the inner workings of the business, I'm thinking about doing a spinoff for myself which could probably do extremely well. I really just lack a lot of the time to put into it =\.

Golf is one of the most lucrative niches on the internet. There's plenty of money to be made but it takes a long time. If you need fast cash then i would say don't bother. But if you think you can spend some time on it on a long term basis, then I would say go for it. You can also do xrumer blasts and/or outsource other promoting methods if you have some cash to invest. The main problem is, golf is very competitive and it will require a lot of work even to rank for any sub niche.

Last year I bought a 11 years old domain (12 years old now) with "golf" in it.
Still don't have the time to develop it.

Of course it's a good market to jump into.

Don't be turned off because the market is "big".

There's a BIG MISCONCEPTION that people have with BIG markets. They think BIG Market = Tough Keywords.

If you are going to compete for the keyword "Golf", then you'll have a hard time, but you can use other keywords like "golf accessories for sale", etc.

Think outside of the box.

Yes very lucrative market. The guys that play golf are always looking for ways to better their game, and almost always have cash to burn.

Sell golf balls on ebay... there is good money in used golf balls for some reason and best part is if you live on the golf course like myself you get free golf balls every day. Last night I collected 19 golf balls within 15-20 minutes and today sold all 19 for $4. That comes out to about $16 an hour just collecting golf balls and selling them.
