- post great content (just photo or also video?)
- follow/unfollow for the first few thousand
- hashtags in comment and not anymore
- no bot ever

• How many follows per day did u do when the account was new?

Probably he got access to Instagram Follower Generator (Elite Edition), PayPal monkey generator was also leaked a while back.

One of my instagram accounts got from 0 to 23k followers in one day. But I discovered that all those followers were just bots because the second day they started to unfollow.Curently siitting at 11k. I don't know yet why or where these followers came from.
