Hi everybody

I have 512 mb ram droplet on digitalocean and have a website running on it

it has very small traffic but my server always crashes down and gets 502 gateway error

what can i do to protect my website from getting hit?

btw i have Wordfence plugin installed

Your error logs might shed some more light.

Here's possible locations depending on your server configuration:

• /var/log/apache2/error.log
• /var/log/nginx/error.log

have you talked to digitalocean yet. I am sure they can help you track down what is causing your server to crash and give you some ideas on what you can do.

Just contact your host and report this issue. I suppose your site is using some CMS and it's seems to bee either Brute force or some kind of attack in the site which might causing this. Just try to check access log of the site and see if you find the lot of acces from since IP address.

Those are normal reports on CMS websites, there are thousands of bots scanning websites to gain access on wp-admin or /admin.

What we can suggest you is to block access to /wp-admin /admin folder .
