nofollow accounts for less than 3% of the websites on the ENTIRE NET

so how can getting nofollowed backlinks make your site look more natural???

Google has over 70-80% of the search engine traffic and most of the stuff you do on Google will also apply to Bing/Yahoo


Why spend time building nofollow backlinks to only get less than 20% of search engine traffic?


once you become a real linkbuilder you will never deal with a 'nofolllowed' link again.

getting a link that is nofollowed is a WASTE OF TIME
1. you have to waste time building it
2. it doesnt help in Google

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Google simply says nofollow doesn't pass link juice aka PR... Google has also recently said that PR doesn't matter. So... What's the point of not building a nofollow link?

For commenting at least, if I go to a blog, I can pretty much just as quickly manually post a comment as I can exit the page. So yes, I build it. Maybe profiles it's not worth it though. It's really up to the SE optimizer. I build nofollows.

Unlike yours my comment was not directed to a specific person and was not intended to discredit a specific person - in fact, it was not directed at a person at all but rather was my opinion about an idea. Now, had I said "nodoubtgq79 says to ignore nofollow sites but he's stupid" then you would be making an accurate comparison because I'd have been attacking and discrediting a specific person, not an idea. But, I wouldn't do that because I think using ad hominem attacks to support your case is self-defeating and actually makes your opposition look better.

i have built many nofollow links before and my rankings never went up

most of my clients build nofollow links and they NEVER go up in google rankings

i come along and put **************** links and they go up

forget about pr/trustrank and other terms.....if your rankings do NOT go up in Google then it's a waste

anyone who tells you that they go up in rankings with nofollowed links aren't telling you the truth

sometimes i have to do it because a client wants higher rankings in bing/yahoo, and i use all the links i can get

The goal of ranking well in the SERPs is to get traffic. If you can get nofollow links that drive traffic, you are MEETING THAT GOAL whether they raise your rank or not.

I have a client I'm currently working with who wants to rank on page 1 for a very difficult term. It will likely take several months of steady link building to get on page 1. While working towards that goal I'm also building links to drive traffic. All of those links are being built on niche blogs and forums - all of which are nofollow. He's getting 300-500 unques a day from those links and not a single hit from organic search for the competitive keywords. From that traffic he's sold over 750 memberships to his site.

Now, if I followed your advice to avoid nofollow links he'd be getting about 10 visitors a day, would have no sales and would be wondering what the fuck he's paying me for.

If you are so set in your mind about nofollow being worthless that you really can't see that they have other benefits besides ranking then I feel bad for your 'clients' because you're doing them a HUGE disservice.

Open your eyes and look at the big picture. SEO is more than just trying to get on page 1 of google and if you can't see that you're in the wrong business.

*sigh* whatever. I typically don't argue with zealots as I find it to be a huge waste of time and energy. So I'm done. Good luck to you. One final thing though - there's a HUGE difference between saying an idea is stupid and saying a person is stupid. Smart people have stupid ideas all the time and calling the idea stupid is in no way a reflection of the intelligence of the person but rather a value of the idea... Attack the idea, don't attack the person. Attacking the person just makes you look like you don't have the skill to attack the idea.

Its true that Google do not count no-follow backlinks, but what about other search engines. Yahoo, Bing, All the Web and other Search engines gives equal priority to do-follow and no-follow. Although no-follow does not give back link but it gives traffic.
