5000 backlinks from profiles will this help?

Quick question...


I have around 5k forum profile backlinks that I am going to setup for my site....my question is that not all of them are related to my site....would setting these up be worth my while or would I just be wasting alot of time?

• Site is new
• Not setting them all up at one....maybe 100 per week

The forums are high PR and ALL do follow

Yes, they will work, if the homepage has a good PR, no matter what they are about.

For those not related by topic to your key site:

Why not set up a set of highly spinnable comments to bridge the two and drop the important outgoing link into each of them?

Hi,

Each and every backlink help you built the rank of the website, If the backlink is of more quality it will do more good. Quantity is not important quality is important.

But there is no wrong to try on quantity bases either.

The best backlinks are the anchor text links, the profile links are not so valuable.

great idea. 5k links appear overnight to a site with how many now?

This will help. Make sure that when you are done, or in the process even, you createRSS for each page the links are on, and ping both the page URL and the RSS feed you created... I like to use feedping or totalping... This will speed up indexing of the links and increase SERPs more quickly.
Some will say you get "sandboxed"...... not true... The SERPs may dance on you for a week, but youll come back stronger.

@OP: Yes, profile links will help you, if you make the profiles make looking REAL.

@wolfmann: Many profile sites let you create a link with anchor text.

@Marchamont: First, you didn't pay attention. Op wants to create 100 backlinks a week. Second, but it wouldn't hurt him, even if he decided to create them all at once. Think of all the sites that go viral (sometimes practically overnight). Google is used to the fact that this can happen. But it is important to continue with your backlinking efforts to keep any good ranking.
