I was wondering if there is a business of $500- $750 / month net profit .. how much it should be sold for?

let's say its fully automated and requires no work or very less say 1 hour work a day ? Obviously I am talking about an online business and with income proof and all..

How much should one sell it for? any idea?

Depends on a number of factors.
- The product, how much work was put in, expanding potential, brandability, etc
- Revenue and traffic proof
- Traffic sources, expenses, etc
- Domain name
- Whitehat/blackhat
- Content

It varies and depends on many more factors, however a whitehat site generating money on autopilot I would sell for no less than 12x-18x monthly revenue.

There's a big difference between no work and 1 hour a day. Any work at all really isn't worth $500-$750 IMO.

You are right .. I agree there is a difference between no work and 1 hour work.

I will rephrase it this way. Probably there are days when you need to work for an hour and then there are days when you sit idle and watch your bank balance growing :)

I read somewhere on a web masters forum, for website flipping, that you can sell a website for around 3x more then what it makes a month.

You could always hold an auction for it. Do it similar to how they do house auction. If they reach your asking price, then you put it on the market and let them continue to bid until a certain time.

Id pay 1500 for it

well well well .. if a person is going to sell a business generating $750 net profit, he won't sell it for $1500 ..right ? its 2 months net profit for him ... do you really think its the right price?

6-12 times of the net monthly income. exact price depends on the details

Put it up on one of the auction sites and make the bin either 18 months worth of profit. Then make the beginning bid maybe 1k less than the 12 month mark?

If people really want it... You will get the most out of it this way or jump over to DP and see what they will give you for it lol

I agree that it should worth at least 6 - 12 months Net income otherwise one would keep it rather than selling it for 2 -3 months net profit

Yeah DP and Flippa but flippa sucks these days as it has a greate fee and featured costs and blah blah ...

So lets say $500 is net profit at a minimum then 12 months is like $6k and one should start with a bin price of $4500 or $5k and that should do it to start !

Thanks I will check with him too .. Infact there are over 5 such businesses in list so I am trying to get an idea of their worth and then will make a decision

Hit meathead1234 a PM. You're going to need to pay him obvi but he can help, he's very familiar with website and business flipping.
