A VPS with clean IPs is fine. You just setup a cron job so it sends the emails at different times, not all at once. Inbox delivery if done right, and you cleanup your mail list each time. Some might not want emails from you.

I agree aws ses is a great option... also might want to check out mailgun and sparkpost.
