Do more of what helped you earn that $500.

1. get a high paying affiliate offer (one that pays over 500$ per sale.. its hard to find or get accepted, but i could help)
2. buy advertisements from google adwords but you can get more of your money if you buy google adwords accounts with threshold.

500$ could get you 2000$ .. ROI 400% :)

If you don't have one, buy a solid PC (not laptop, good ol' PC) with a big enough screen. You can thank me later!

Honestly you dont need a good pc to make money except you are a programmer or designer. seo tools you run on vps anyway. and a pc for 500$ is not that good too.

but its about blackhat money making.. no good pc is needed. just a lot of brainpower ;)

One of the first things that I've invested in was a good solid PC (more than $500, but even that would do), probably one of the wisest investments ever.

But buying a PC for 500$ will not make any big changes to his earnings. At the beginning he should concentrate on earning money and just using a "normal" or even "bad" pc. It's important to get started and then when you got started you can still improve your pc and resources. Key to massive success is to get started instead of trying to make everything perfect.

I do agree with your money making points but for $500, you can get a bit older hardware but again super strong pc, even for other uses than IM. For example, you can get i5, 8 gigs of ram and an ssd for that kind of money easily.

Back on topic, OP what are your skills? Do you know to do anything online or offline?

yeah, but he should not waste his money on a pc. he should invest it to build an income. he can later buy any pc he wants ;)

In my opinion, the easiest would be to buy a domain name and a hosting package. Start a blog, beautify it and monetize it. For this goal, $500 is more than enough. You can probably use the remaining budget to pay for quality services to help boost your blog's rankings on Google.

Choose one of these two:

1. Use the money to buy a ready made site that can earn $ (shopify store, micro niche site, amazon affiliate site, CPA site).
2. Invest that money in trying out different guides and methods on the site.

Personally I suggest 2 because it will let you gain experience in doing this stuff so that later when you get some more money you wouldn't ask the same question.

To expand more on choice 2 you can use the money to split test between ads to see what works and what doesn't, use it to pay for tools to use when learning seo and other cost you can incur when trying out different things.

Note: Be careful not to kill you're entire budget trying out too many things at the same time, first make sure something works before moving to the next.
