Is 1&1 the best way to go? $7.99/yr with Whois protection.

Thanks in advance.

Go for godaddy or namecheap, they are better than 1&1. Look for godaddy coupon codes and for namecheap too!

Godaddy has 0.99 coupon code: scott99
They claim it works on 3 .com domains but it only works for one.

GoDaddys is more pricy
1&1 was cheapest, but they've been slowly raising their rates recently... They are also slow about getting domains live and making DNS changes and their system is $hit.

I'd personally go for internet.bs OR namecheap.com

NEVER USE 1&1 - I tried them once, ended up losing my domain (they do not let you transfer, if you have their who is guard they claim the domain is theirs, and they do not let you cancel your subscription without a phone call)

use namecheap, with a coupon its about $8 for a .com with whois.

I switched to namecheap.com when GoDaddy say yes to congress on SOPA and all that stuff. I'm so happy with their service I started purchasing VPS from them. The shared hosting sucks, but VPS works great and support is amazing. I like Hostgator but I did change could not be happier. I still buy from monike, enom, register and networksolutions but my first choice is namecheap.

You can actually call GoDaddy or Namecheap I believe and tell them you're interested in buying bulk domains. They'll usually give you a discount I believe.

tell them you will buy 100 domain they will give you discount
but
godady and name cheap are best
godady is biggest player in this game [ i think ]
the thing i like in godady is free domain transfer

Namecheap have bulk pricing on demand. However it's for over 100 domains iirc, so it might be out of your price range by a bit.
