    Spent $50 in Adwrods

    CTR was 6.7%

180 visits to my site, 93 hops and $0 in sales.

I know i have to tweak my lander to get more people to convert to the vendor page but still 93 hops and no sales??

The product has a gravity of 60+

    Am I missing something?

too much gravity. Pick between 20 and 30. And check your ad copy too.

Check this in google and you may find a fairly convincing(!) answer (if you're lucky):
adwords many hops and no sales

As you can see this is a common phenomenon...

btw, are those KWs kind of buyers kws? That will tell you if the targeted traffic have some potential customers, or just have simple interested parites with no buying intentions.

Why would I pick a lower gravity? Higher gravity means more people promoting which would mean a succssful product (has been at 60+ for over a year)

Too vague info. Problem could be anywhere - poor ad targeting, not buyer KW, poor landing page.
Just to make sure, there is a good product review, not just another sales letter on your landing page, right?

Lol if only it was that easy, chuck a $50 coupon on an adwords account and link to a clickbank offer then watch the $$$$ roll in. It doesn't work like that.

    Completely agreed

@OP $50 is nothing for CB testing, PPC is not a good option if you are new to CV

Adwords would take lots of testing as you may end up losing dollars without issues.

I get $50 is not that much. But I have enough data to start to decipher what is wrong. Im getting clicks and hops so am I safe to assume that my keywords are not buyer specific?

If so, what is a good kw tool to use that will help generate "buyer" kw?

For example one of my keywords is
"make money uploading pictures" so they click on it and go to my site which promotes a product where you can make money uploading pictures. seems relevant to me?

Lower grav = less competition = easier to find a keyword that works and is profitable.

Well as per my observation the gravity doesn't actually guarantee sale. It may be a problem with the type of visitor you are targeting, or can also be a problem with your lander. Nevertheless, I guess you should keep experimenting with all the options until you get what you want. Do some split testing!

You will need a lot more for A-B testing, and you might be bidding for non-buying KW, which is wasted money. Also, we know nothing about the product itself. Would you buy it?

you didnt even bother to reads mancer487 guide on selecting cb products. i recommend looking over that guide
why not try using a $50 or $100 bing ad coupon for ppc testing so you get your $50 to try again

enter your target keywords in spyfu. Then check the ads that are top performing. Then tweak your ads according to it.
Further when you enter your keyword in spyfu, you get paid competitors. You open those paid competitor grids in new tabs and see which ad of them are converting better. This way you will get lots of ideas to improve your adwords add.

use something like "Satisfaction Guaranteed. Learn More/Read More! in description line 2. or like "Your Satisfaction is 100% Guaranteed" in Line 2

This way your ctr will increase your quality score will increase, your cpc will decrease so more clicks for less and maybe you start getting conversions

    Regards

I appreciate all the help. I am not new at this but it has been a long time since I tackled affiliate marketing so I know things have changed greatly over the past 2 years.

And I already used the Google $100 coupon, that $50 was my own money so a total of $150 (the $100 was split between 3 sites however)

Why don't you build a list? They may not convert today but it's possible they may convert later down the road.

And on top of that, you can promote other products as well.

    THIS.

Tell us a bit about the targeting you are using. Often the problem lies there.
Using non-buyer KW is another frequent mistake.
Re why choosing a high gravity product is not recommended (unless you are an experienced marketer with a particularly strong skill e.g. seo or yt ranking) - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...hoose-cb-products-newbies-5-minute-guide.html
