My goodness, we all are almost on same track. Yoast, Akismet, Contact Form 7 are so common .. By the way, I am wondering some of my friends posted above that they are using Yoast and Google XML SiteMap plugin. For me, Yoast Sitemap works fine but do you guys have any specific reason for avoiding Yoast sitemap?

True, it slows my websites with 1-2 seconds. I was looking for a better alternative.

I always have problems with sitemap tool in Yoast also couldn't get it linked to webmaster tools.

I think linkwithin was an older plugin. I'm not sure if it's compatible with the latest version of WP anyways.

I usually disable all commenting on blogs, so: disable-comments

You don't need a plugin for that, just do it through admin
