5 manual blogs VS 100 autoblog

Which would win? (In terms of money making)

Five, 100% unique content blog or 100 autoblog (assuming both are equally promoted)

This is impossible to quantify. Much more to it than just equal promotion.
 
My first question is can you write?? I know I can't, so I went for autoblog.

Had I been able to write my own decent articles, then I'd probablly have atleast tried a couple of manual blogs.
 
5 manual blogs will be more work than 100 autoblogs, so while they might convert and pay better, they also take away from valuable time you could be killing dudes on the internet or havesting your farmville crops
 
I'll vote for 5 Manual Blogs with Unique Contents!

If I'm getting paid for writing then I really don't mind. I've been manually blogging the pass few months until I stumble on this site and start on all this auto blogging hype.

While manually blogging I notice I get tons of organic traffic and started to garnered some adsense revenue, but then reverted to autoblog and all that traffic and revenue went to sh*t. So now, basing what works; I guess I'm going back to manual, but still leaving a few auto blog working just in case.
 
Doesn't this depend also on the quality of your autoblogs and the niche of course?
There are too many variables I think to make a generalization, but shit in shit out I guess. My money is with the 5 manual blogs.
 
As others have mentioned, this is really vague and hypothetical. Way too many variables involved to make any kind of blanket statement.

Ideally, I think you would have a combination. Take some time to set up a few autoblogs and get them rolling and then work on a manual blog. This would allow you a little bit of relatively passive income from the autoblogs while you built up content for your manual blog. Mix it up. Right now I'm just messing with the autoblogs, but eventually, I'm going to diversify. I'm learning an awful lot of valuable lessons with my autoblogs which I can later use for other types of sites.
 
As someone else has stated, impossible to tell. Too many variables.
Different stokes for different folks, everyone can have an opinion on this but it really can't go beyond that.

I believe the key is the statement "if they are promoted equally". It would be a fairly big job to promote 100 blogs vs. 5 equally don't you think?

If you enjoy promoting, make the 5 manual blogs. If you don't (like me) make the 100 ABs.

My opinion (for what it's worth) is your return on time invested will be greater going the AB route.
 
actually im making more money from my 7 manual blogs updated once a week than my 150 autoblogs which have been updating automatically for over a year and a half now, and i don't think im going to renew those domain next year
 
Autoblog but obviously well researched and tricky.
 
Indeed, 100 autoblogs will win if done properly. If you have 100 highly researched autoblog, you only invest the research+build time, then you can (mostly) forget it, whereas the manual blogs will contantly need your attention and also content creating.

Wait, so you're trying to say that when I grew that field of crop shaped as a swastika, I didn't win the game? You must be kidding me!

Back to the subject, I think it's a good idea to have both manual blogs and autoblogs.
 
Best thing is having both
Don't put all your eggs into one basket
 
Its Autoblog which will finally win. Though you need to know what exactly you are doing for your autoblog, right from selecting the niche to domain to monetization. But that does not mean manual blog will not... but autoblog will equally be good, if you know the inside... most of the people make autoblog with wp-robot or some other rss grabber and think about making $$$$ from those ... No that's not possible and if you also plan to have the same... then stick to manual only
