5 200word or 1 1000 word?

I write unique articles for my blog. which one do you think is better for SEO?:
1. 5 articles that each of them is 200 words.
2.1 article which is 1000 words.

To get the best of both worlds, I would recommend 2 500 word articles

Ideally, I would go for 5-200 word articles. However, 200 words are too short in my opinion. Your best bet would be to go for 5-300 word articles. If you are on a strict budget, choose 4-300 word articles over these two choices.

why don't mix everything?

I mean, 1*500 words, 2*300 and 2*200 words

It will looks more natural

5 articles of 200 words each is the better way because it will give you variety too. So try this out.

You can also make a big ass scientific 2000-word article. Depends on your niche though.

I'd say 5x200 but somebody pointed the optimum - I always use ~300 words posts where possible but I have a blog where 99% are 100-150 word posts and still doing great. 300 words is the norm though
