$4000 in 4 days So happy!!!

Ok, 4 days ago I started a website that sells ad space. Simply easy, took no time to design.

For the niche it took off like crazy. & with my knowledge on marketing, it will blow up with customers.

The reason why I made $4000 in 4 days is I called around 60+ companies.
40 signed up

I charge $100/month to be placed on the site.

$100/month to some decent size companies is chump change.

I just can't believe I didn't do this before, I always thought about it just never did it.

Now when the traffic starts rolling in I can't imagine what Adsense will pay.

But for maybe 20 hours of work in 4 days to now be making $4k/month.
Is just an incredible experience.
(of course taking the time to learn web design back in the day might factor into this, & also learning how to market years ago which is what helped me do this so fast)

Tacking this on to the income from doing marketing for other companies makes this an even sweeter experience.

But I guess I am posting this not to say chin-up. But just always keep trying. I have tried for years, & even though I have made decent money, over the years that I am incredibly greatful for. To come up with this in no time & to make it work in no time for this insane payoff, it was definately worth it.

Hope this helps keep you guys motivated. Im not stopping with this, its just motivated me to do more projects.

Well of course not too much due to not wanting competition =P

Made a simple website, put different sections on the site the companies can go under, like a directory, called companies & explained the idea & they loved it.

Maybe because it was mid week since they were so close to friday might have helped lol =P

Best explained is similar to the forum. Lets use BHW for instance, all targeted traffic, so they sell banner ad space for revenue to companies. Mines the same idea, just no forum.

Was the first thing I thought after reading this. I'm not doubting you op but you either have a hella sales pitch or you picked some dumb ass people to sell to.

No that was the problem I ran into 2 days ago. With no companies, customers arnt intrigued, with no customers, companies arnt intrigued, but I explained to them my marketing techniques & I have references from companies I do marketing for already, so quite a few of them called my references & they went for it.

I explained to them that I need the companies first, & if they stick by it, it will work for them. I make individual companies around $10k-$20k per month in sales. So I guess thats what helped make their decisions.

The problem I had was when I called them I wasn't sure who to ask for other than the owner, manager, or marketing department. So it made me feel alittle weird I guess.

Well I keep trying to post & explain but it keeps saying im triggering their system.

I don't understand why companies paid $100/month for ad space on a fresh new website...
Unless to have tons of traffic or guarantee them a certain number of conversions.

Or just you sold ad spaces to people who have lack of knowledge about internet marketing and prices...

OP, please post more details. You can change the details about your site and niche. For example, if it's about protein powder, say it's a site about coffee.

But tell us what kind of site (blog?) and how you got the traffic that will go to the companies and make them $10k. You would need millions of uniques per month. And that's just for one company to make $10k.

Well done, You must have your hands on an incredible amount of targeted traffic for the companies to get the conversions they want. Keep it going !!

Getting them to pay up for advertisement on a 4 day old website is a good accomplishment but remember the following...

These companies have taken a leap of faith based on your promises and it's up to you to deliver on them if you want them to keep paying you every month. That's the hard part.

How are you gonna get enough traffic in the next 60 days to give these companies value for their money? Ranking in google takes time.

This is a very good example of why most offline businesses are wary of online marketing.
