So far I have 400+ UV and I just started this website around 3 weeks ago. I'm getting around 30-40 UV a day and I've been dancing on G anywhere from #10 on page 1 or somewhere on pg 2 or 3.

Should I start changing some things up because I havn't gotten a conversion yet? Do you guys usually get 1 sale after say 100 visitors? Or should I just be patient and wait for more visitors and getting a higher rank on the big G?

edit: also of those 400+, I have gotten 130+ hops and 24 order form impressions. I'm new at clickbank considering this is my first monetizing technique so any help will be beneficial. Thanks!

Sounds like either the product you are marketing does not convert so well (then find a better product to promote) or you are targeting keywords that are related to the product but not enough to get conversions.

100 hops should get you at least 2 sales if keyword is good match and marketing a good product.

400uv is nothing. You need to boost your traffic before you start testing. Your results may not be entirely accurate right now. I would shoot for minimum 100uv daily before worrying about that.

I'm hitting 150uv a day and not converting brilliant. That's when you know you have a problem.

I think it would depend on the niche as well as the product that you're marketing. For one of my sites I noticed it's like clock work, every 70-80 uv = 1 sale. I think you should change the product around, perhaps the sales page isn't that compelling. I find that the ones with video are definitely working better for me.

This usually is cause you (marketer) do not know enough about the product... your advertising something as "MUCH HAVE!!!" and you drive people to landing page of the product... people will read it and will be disappointed cause your text was more complelling that the sales letter itself.

try to get familiar with the product :)

You certainly need to be patient and work on improving your traffic......then i'm sure you'll begin to see results.

Me personally, I'd wait until I had either 1000 unique views...or at least 200+ HOPS before I start tinkering around...but again, that's what "I" would do!

Once you have those kinds of numbers, then it's pretty easy to see why sales aren't coming in.

    Your mileage may differ!

Just to update, I've made 3 sales now but I kind of ditched this site now and moved on to other things, but I'm still getting 40-60uv a day and will probably get a random sale every now and then!

I would check a couple of things. First is the keyword you are using a buying keyword. Type the keyword into Google and see if there are ads on the top and to the right. If there aren't you will have a tough time selling to these visitors. If there are ads take a look at some of the sites and see if the product matches with yours.

Build an emaillist. Then promote products. You'll make way more if you do this consistently.

Now, 400 UV may be nothing. But if you get a crappy 10% visitor to lead conversion, and you are getting 40 visitors a day, you'd grow your emaillist by 4 people a day. Which is 120 extra subscribers per month.

If you then start mailing them every single day, mixing in promos with solid info, you are actually building a solid business and consistent income. Here's how 1 of my current processes work:

I get about 50 UVs a day. 40% converts to an optin. That are about 20 new optins a day.

I have a product selling at $10 per month and a $97 upsell.

This process is making me about $60 per day, pure profit from the initial visit alone. Counting backend, etc, I'm making a lot more.

Consider that when you are thinking about revamping your site. Because it's seriously worth it.

One thing I didn't consider is the type of keyword you are ranking for. It may just be a very poor buying keyword. Since not all visitors are equally valuable. I personally only focus on buyer keywords.
