    Hey,

    I made a little project, and I had gotten 12 hops, 6 order form impressions and 1 sale from it.

    So I thought, WOW, time to scale and do it quickly.

    I got to work and started getting 10+ hops per day.

    400 hops later and still only that 1 sale.

    Is Clickbank shaving because a 0.08 EPC on a 100+ gravity product from targeted traffic does not seem normal.

    Anyone else have any similar experiences?

    Many factors are involved. Under which the qualiy of your traffic. So it's really hard to comment on when we don't know the source of your traffic. And if it's PPC or PPV, the keywords you are bidding on, too. Which you don't need to reveal, nor should you reveal it.

    You may be better off trying to build a list and then sending them emails about products like that. Short term may not be what you are hoping for, but longer term you'll reap MASSIVE benefits.

    Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

    Its traffic from a youtube video onto clickbank.

    I ranked a video on a pretty damn competitive keyword and the video is very related to the product.

    This was just an experiment, I agree with the list.

    Long-term business is the way to go, but testing methods is also part of the game.

    No probs bro. I enjoy helping out where I can.

    Video does make it a bit more complicated. Here's why:

    What is the motivation for them to go to the site? Do you ask them? Do you leave some sort of clue as to what they'll get on your site? Or did you just place it inside the textfield and let them click if they want?

    Also, what are you giving for info?

    There are so many reasons why it may not work. And why one vid may be better for a free offer (CPA or just getting the lead on your list) and others are better for a direct sale. Al though I'd still go for the lead, personally. But that is just me. :)

    I like the vids idea though. Need to try it out more, myself. The few vids I got on Youtube get me high quality traffic. I just hate recording them. Especially considering the fact it's so much easier to pay for traffic and test and tweak those ads/landing pages.

    Do you do a lot of video/youtube marketing?

    I understand the video part, my video is targeting the keyword perfectly.

    The program I link to fits my youtube video very nicely.

    Like I said I had 12 clicks, out of those 12 50% clicking on the buy now button, out of those 6, one person bought. That is a damn good click through for a test.

    Once I scaled it up 400+ hops later, no more sales. Very weird.

    Yeah I have been dabbling with video marking for the past recent while.

    Now that you mention it, I will test a CPA offer instead of clickbank. Maybe it converts better :)

    Well you might just have gotten lucky with your first sale. Do you really think 12 clicks is enough to determinate if its good or not.

    Though what is your current hop/order page ratio?

    Yeah it's starting to look not as promising because I am starting to get 200-400 views a day now. Out of those views I roughly get 15-20 Hops.

    Per 100 Hops I usually get 17-20 clicks on the "Buy" button. But then no damn sales.

    What is the probability CB cheats affiliates for one or two bought products.
    Simple Algorithms for example:
    If first sale
    {
    Commision=no;
    }
    If Second Sale
    {
    Commision=yes;
    }
    Loop

    Until the traffic and sales get too high and the algo gets complicated.Everybody needs to make money these days.if they do implement something like that it will not be anything new i guess, a good example will be 80% fb ads clicked by bots.If Fb can do that a full worldwide franchise, how can we assume CB is not doing that, since no can see there source code or any algo they implemented.

    I think those trying to see if CB is shaving in order to make "more money" don't see the long term here. There is WAY more money to be made doing things the right way rather than stealing a few hundred bucks here and there. CB has been around for awhile, I doubt they are looking to make a quick buck off of new webmasters.

    I'd say the source problem here is the product and/or the way traffic is being sent.

    The product : Maybe the sales page is shit, loading slowly, not tracking properly. Maybe the biller has started scrubbing a lot. Lots of factors to consider.

    The traffic: Maybe you got lucky with that first sale. People tend to think that lots of traffic = lots of money. That's completely wrong. I won't go into too much detail cause it'll turn this post into something way longer than it should.
