    Hello BHW friends,

    I was told by a friend at univeristy yesterday who has very limited experience in web site creation and has no knowledge of SEO, was asked by an aquaintance for an e-commerce website, to which my friend charged him £400 and took him only 4 days (most the time he wasnt even concentrating on it properly) to complete.

    However here is what gets funny, my friend told me he "just made a shitty site with a theme he already had" ; he didnt even provide additional security, the aquaintance didnt even ask for seo lol.

    All my friennd paid for was a domain name while his aquaintance provided hosting.

    The end result the guy was pleased with the website and happliy paid:confused:

    Wanted to ask if anyone had any experience like this, i never get lucky like this=[

    {Mods sorry if this is in the wrong section}

    Providing poor quality services is not sustainable. You might find some people who are happy to pay for it, but you're not going to get very far.

    Plus, £100 a day is nothing - a decent developer charges that by the hour in London (where it seems you are based).

    Thats what i told my friend but he said because of what he did he has more people wanting sites, the potential clients he got are from birmingham. Also i told him to send me the clients as i can provide good websites and also help with seo, it could even become a little business venture on the side.. who knows, also the reason why they asked him was because other people were charging ridiculous prices.

    £100 a day is something for a uni student who barely put effort into a project.
