40 visitors a day, not made a dime

Since last Monday, 8 days ago, my business has not made a single penny. all I am getting is these pieces of garbage wasting my time.

Yesterday, this bi*** sent back and forth 40 - that's right 40 emails. Since she was from a certain country, I knew from the start that she was a waste of my time, but I thought maybe I am being biased and I gave her the benefit of the doubt. After 40 emails arguing over my price, asking things like "why is it so high?" "what if instead of this, we do that, is it going to be cheaper?" "come on, this other place is giving me half your price" after 40 email exchanges, it turns out that she ONLY wants to pay with american express, nothing else. no checks, no mastercard. Anyone who has been in business long enough knows what would have happened if I had taken her AMEX. I said no thanks, not interested.

today, another guy from the same country wasted my time - again. I won't name the country, but these people are terrible, they accuse you of lying (because in their own country everybody lies) they ask you to bend your rules, they negotiate things that you have said are non-negotiable. They also ask you to explain something (like "why is the price higher than this other place?") but when you explain it, they don't understand and ask again. The next time I pick up the phone and hear that accent, I will hang up. not worth the headache.

Anyway, I digress. My question is: recently, all I am getting is cheap assholes that you would expect to find on craigslist. no wait, these people are worse that craigslisters. what the hell is going on? traffic is good, keywords used to arrive to site are "buy" keywords. 8 days, not a penny.

PS dont ask which country....I will let you guess which country I am talking about.

2) You seem to be very picky about your customers. Let me teach you a valuable lesson about business. When you are a nobody in business , you take whatever customers you can get, you give nice discounts, you are not picky or cheap.

You really need to change your attitude if you hope to be successful one day.

Sounds like you have a problem with where you're finding your visitors. Also, 40 visitors is not very many considering more than half are likely bots.

You might need to look at your keyword selection.

Someone with the attitude that you have displayed should not be "in business".

If your keywords are good buyers keywords and you are getting traffic from it then your other keywords must be stinking, sorry.

Think of those special keywords as the words that come out of the mouth. They are the real converters when you're on phone. Think of them as those in your emails to the potential customers because they ultimately convert. Think of them as those that come to your mind -- if you call your potential customers assholes, those keywords in your mind will sink your business even before you speak or write a single word to those people. You are not worth a dime to your own business. I said I am sorry...

Business isn't about swearing, it's about building...

If you do not want customers from certain regions you can simply block their country's ip ranges from connecting to your server:

Change what you sell and who you sell to. I've been through attitude phases like what you have, in the past, and it oozes out from you in everything you do, whether you realize it or not. You just have to take the bad with the good... be optimistic and change yourself.

who cares what country when money hits your account.
If they want to a price reduction dont give it. Tell them thats your price and stick to it

Who cares? what if I told you I have accepted orders from 2 people from this country, and both times i smelled trouble but decided to ignore my gut feeling and go with it, and both times I got scammed? AMEX will chargeback for any reason. All they have to do is call and say they didnt like what they got.

I love this, this guy knows what i am talking about. and yes, it really takes away from you. when you spend so much energy on some asshole and they make you angry, it makes you tired and takes away from all the things you could have done to grow your biz.

40 visitors.......i would just omit that as almost no visitors to my site...

I assumed if you had a real business rolling, you would have had regular monthly income from clients but it seems you just do one-shot gigs.. which is why I think your business is very new. Also, 40 visitors a day is approximately what I get on my sites after a few days..

There are a lot of factors I have to consider in my business on whether or not I'm making any money, and right at the top of the list is WHO I AM DOING BUSINESS WITH.

They invented words like "Bitch", "asshole" and Low-life Motherfucker" in order to describe the very real qualities of very real people. These aren't hypothetical constructs. Some people are best described using these terms. And they are also best avoided at any cost. Usually, they are aware of their asshole nature, and use the promise of exorbitant profits in order to manipulate you into spending more time with them than you otherwise would.

You said it yourself that you knew this bitch was wrong from the very start. That's called "instinct" or "gut" and it's a really good idea to develop that 6th sense and then rely on it, as there is no single factor that can cause as significant financial loss as getting involved in a business deal with the wrong person. And even if you should make a small bit of money, there is no joy in it, and frequently on balance I would rather have not gotten into the relationship at all. But that's just me. Some people are willing to take a bath in shit in order to make a buck. I'd rather starve.

Thing is that OP is complaining about not making a single buck AND at the same time turning down all his customers which are all a$$holes and b!tches..

no, you misunderstood. not all my customers have been assholes. In the past, I have had very good clients with their credit card out, ready to pay. I was just questioning why RECENTLY my site is getting the same traffic as before, but the only people contacting me are assholes? That's the question. why recently I am getting these bottom feeding, cheap, abusive assholes?

you got it, man. you got it. And yes, these people do promise exorbitant profits to try to bait you in. This one guy was saying "I will pay you extra if you do a good job" when he wasn't even willing to pay my base price. but I didnt know that they know they are assholes? I thought they think what they are doing is normal.

Dude you are right not to accept customers who are going to cause you problems, they suck up your time, give you negativity and stop you from getting good positive customers.

The fact you wasted so much time on so many e mails proved you do want to make the sale and you do want customers.

Not sure about 40 visitors a day, I have had sites with 200 visitors a day making nothing, at this low level you may just be getting trawled by scammers so concentrate on getting numbers up, make your T&C's very clear and just tell them up front this is how I do business if you are not happy I suggest you use the other guy you keep telling me is cheaper.
