I assume your domain.blogspot.com redirects to your customdomain.tld. In that case, yes, SEO juice will drip onto your custom domain.

Nice list... thanks for sharing! I'm going to compare this list against my websites to see how many factors I'm missing on my pages...

I think that the H1 tag is over-rated. Lately, I've ranked really well without it and I see sites ranking all the time without it.

And I think that keyword meta tag should be lower also. But I guess it might be good if you're trying to rank in Yahoo or bing. Who knows if those engines actually give it weight anymore though.

H1 tags are still recognized by Google, so I would rather consider using them. And yes, Meta keywords are not that important now since Google doesn't recognize them anymore, but since Yahoo and Bing still do, I wouldn't mind adding them as well, there's no harm doing so. But yeah, Keywords should have been rated LOW.

Thanks for sharing.

Can you please explains what "34 * LOW * Having a robots.txt" means?

@Seomachine: The robots.txt is a file placed in your site's root which restricts bots from accessing parts of the site/folders as specified in the file. If you don't see a robots'txt file in your root, consider adding one.

have to agree H1 might not be as important as to be set to HIGH level...
and google doesnt look at meta keywords for quite a while, this might be a little older "check list"

In my experience the H1 tag has been overrated for the last few years. Often had a minor site sitting in the #30-40 position or so, putting the main keyword in the h1 tag didn't do anything to change the rankings.

But is this list from before the panda update? Can imagine their order of the list might look a look different from before and after.

They are really very good points.I am getting confused by reading them all at a time.We can know this better by working.Content is always the most important thing. We need to take care of the quality of the content by adding the title, meta tag, heading tag etc.Use the key words properly.Don't repeat them.Always use them in the beginning of the contents not to get skipped by the Bots.

ive done a lot of reading lately and i haven't heard anyone recommend 5%-20% keyword density. not even some SEO software recommends that much.

I thought keyword meta tags aren't even taken into account by Google anymore?

Still some good info here

5-20% is an absurd range to keep the keyword density. Imagine out of every 100 words, 20 words contain the keywords which makes it really awkward to read. Just write for the audience and ignore about the keyword density. As long as the keyword is found in the title and H1 tag, it is more than sufficient. I would rather include LSI terms within the body of the article.

How old is this list? Did you check the date? I'm pretty sure some of the things on the list have lost their importance.

Yes this list could be a bit old. Hence all points might not be perfectly rated here. Its more like an overview. Again, this is not just for Google, it works for other search engines as well. For example, many search engines still look for meta keywords. Yes, these search engines are not comparable to Google, but what's the harm in putting some keywords? That's not gonna harm your site in any way guys. And it takes hardly 10 minutes to think of some good keywords and put them in your site, so do it if you want, or else just leave it.

@cronini: Not all, only meta keywords are not recognized by Google anymore. Others still work with Google.

Again remember, CONTENT IS THE KEY. If you don't have good unique content, these might now work as expected.

Nice overview , you've covered the most important factors to have a highly SEO website. Everyone needs to use these reminders on every page, don't get lazy, just do it!

Hm..the one who create Clickbump Engine and SEO Pressor, saw this list for sure :] Nice list anyway, I thanked so that I can find it anytime I want to refresh my memory :)

This is nice list, but really it must be old. even so it is good to have everything on one list even I would never use 5-20% keyword density, that is really ridiculously high.
