It's better using 4 shared hostings or 1 VPS with 1 IP for each site?
I have around 8 sites with traffic varies 1000-10.000/day with 4 shared hosting packages from 3 providers (1-3 sites each hosting).

I'm afraid if one of my site got penalty and another site will got penalty from Google too if I using 1 VPS. Also if my VPS got trouble then all my sites got problem at the same time. But if I use 1 VPS it's more simple and more cheap I think. 1 sites each have cpanel account if i using VPS.

Any suggestion?

Sorry i'm not native english speaker.
Thank you

I don't think you will have a problem with google if you don't link your sites with each other. Shared hosting providers assign one IP address for multiple domains on their servers. It will not be a good policy for google to ban all domains sharing one IP address if one of the domains get penalized.

4 small VPS's from 4 providers sounds better if you are doing something that can cause a ban from a hosting provider. Also always keep a backup.

Whatever you need, never keep all your eggs in one basket. Diversify. In this case, the 4 shared hosting accounts sounds better, but I assume that they are from different providers.

Goodluck.

Hello,

If your websites are serious, and not just some quick project, you should go for a VPS. Shared IPs won't help you at all, it can do more harm than good.

Yes, it is right, you should not keep all your website on the same VPS, but the "little secret" is that you can have 4 dedicated IPs on the same VPS, if you really want that.

I would never recommend to anyone using shared hosting for serious business, only for testing and not very important projects.
