Whenever I go to a website for a local business here, it's always extremely shitty. I sometimes wonder how difficult it would be for me to contact all of these businesses asking to rebuild their websites. I wonder if they'll trust me, how much i should charge, if I need a portfolio, etc. This thread is making me thinking maybe I should go for it.

do businesses usually ask to see your past work? AND do they turn you down when you tell them to pay 50% upfront?

I do not do web design but WOW. This is freaking genius. I figured out a way to use it for my own purposes. This was a great, and much appreciate share. Those of you who have a talent for web design, take advantage of this!

Great method. You can charge way more than $500 too.

I have a friend doing 5 figure deals per site 100% outsourced.

Not bashing this method, but if these people are using these simpler services, wouldn't one main reason be because it is cheap? It just seems like for about 500$, they could have hired someone in the first place. Just trying to understand.

Also, I like that this pertains to websites, which I have decent experience in, but what other areas has this type of method been known to work?

I literally posted that it was a common rehash earlier on in the thread.. I feel like a hipster

My exact thought after going through the post. Meanwhile, the method do work well if you offer logo, banner or any graphics jobs.

I think those people that go for those .weebly websites bc it's cheap aren't aware of how that hurts them. I would bring this to their attention and try to make sure they understand how important it is to invest in their own domain.

This method is NOT all about the Web design, it's all about sales (like most things in life). If you have a talent in web design but have never done sales before, especially cold calling, you won't make a single penny.

That's very true and it should be part of your sales pitch to explain why what you're going to offer is going to make a difference to their business. Some will be convinced by new shiny things but the majority are going to be concerned with statistics. Eg. X amount of people searched for this phrase but because of reasons A,B,C&D they chose to visit your competitors website.

Thunderelvi,

You're not wrong. Sales is hard at first. When I to my very first sales job I was hopeless. Genuinely had no clue.

If anyone does want to try this without prior experience I'd recommend taking a sales role somewhere to learn the ropes.

Thanks mate, seems pretty solid. Will need to get over the cold calling thing first!

i don't know how you reached the figure 4000$ / week, good method for people who live in developed countries like UK US, here in India, its hard, real hard to find people who will be willing to spend that much on a website.

I can see this working if you are REALLY dedicated to it and make over 100 calls per day. 800 per day doesn't come too easy. Thanks for the method, nonetheless.

I'm on my way to make a quarter of a MILLION dollars in less than a year by doing this, not exactly this, but you get the point.

I was just like a lot of newbies here that are afraid of cold calling and hustling. I was a fucking pussy asking questions like how much to charge, can I work from home etc, you can see this from my past threads.

Guess what, it's all in your head. You're gonna die one day, so pick up the fucking phone and start dialing!

Everyone you will ever meet or talk you both will be dead in a 100 years or so, so pick up the phone and start fucking dialing!

You're gonna live your life in fear and thinking 'what if, what this, do I need to have this first etc'? You won't EVER be perfect, don't EVER wait to be perfect, start right away and forget about perfection, you will suck, you will get laughed at, but you will make some fucking money so PICK UP THE PHONE AND START FUCKING DIALING until your fingers are bleeding, and when that happens, it doesn't mean you should stop, it means you should make ever more fucking calls!

There are two ways to do this, first one start dialing without any sales' knowledge and just hope for the best by doing trial & error. You will make money but you will make a lot more mistakes and will fail a lot more times.

Second one is to DEVOUR everything you can find about sales, aka influence, aka persuasion. I will give you a few names that is all you need to start making some serious money. Tony Robbins, Jordan Belfort, Grant Cardone. These are all guys that hustled their ass off in sales and made hundreds of millions of dollars in their career and are still doing so. What you can learn from them is PRICELESS. So, start devouring right away.

Just remember one thing. Integrity.

This method has been shared here and rehashed a million times. Plus you left out the single MOST IMPORTANT detail: converting them on the phone.

It's not as simple as you make it. Cold calling is an art and not everyone can do it, it's an entirely other topic. Also, care to explain what service you use to accept payments over the phone?

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bashing your thread, I appreciate you taking the time to write all of this, but it's now a new method and not as easy as it sounds.
He didn't write this. It's copy and pasted from Warrior Forum.
