$4,000 to invest!

Ok I have 4000 UK pounds (my pound sign doesn't work), and am looking for something proven that can turn that 4,000 in to a steady income. I have a big content site which makes me a good 500 or more a month just through adsense, CPM and a little Affiliate stuff, but I need more damn it.

Is it logical to spend a few thousand on building backlinks to increase the site's SERPS and just make more money through traffic?

I'm scared to make the jump in to parting with this money, but know I need to make an investment if I'm really gonna grow my savings.

My best advice is find a method that works through researching on your own, then scale it up accordingly to your budget. The best method is truly the one you find on your own because competition will be slim.. Building links is great if your project can be pushed farther, however I would always test the waters before you jump in ;).
 
Nah.. Man, I'd rather spend more time than spend more money online. There will be consequences on it. Its like you'll be successful or not. If you will, then you'll get like 100 a day online with that amount but if failure, it'll be zero monthly. So i suggest if you'll read more ebooks here.
 
Some nice software, maybe a xrumer server, and some elite proxies.

There's barely any good advice being given in these boards anymore. I'm sad to see most advice is given by people with no experience.

Tell that to the PPC experts with a daily adspend of $50K and millions of dollars in yearly profits and ask them if they regret it.

If you're willing to dive into the magic world of PPC marketing, that amount of money should be enough to learn the ropes. You can check out wickedfire.com, probably the best advice you'll get when it comes to PPC.
 
Buy another website that is bringing in monthly income on autopilot.

Create a new website selling some product and outsource all proccess.
 
you could buy a tax lien... some states pay a 16% ROI - thats way better than any interest bearing account that I know of.
 
I would suggest reading some of threads from the heros (like Harro :) and others with rep, posts and clout. Some of them have some excellent methods of making money that work, not all of them free. I'm getting ready to buy a CPA guide from Pofecker. There is an excellent thread going on about harvesting emails from CL, then mailing to them. This does work, it's not free, but could make you your money back very quick if approached with some savvy.

$4k (pounds or dollars) can be parlayed into a million, or blown in a day... Don't let it burn a hole in your pocket (or your mouse) but spend it where it will do some good.

Analyze the niche that your existing site is in. Pick something related to that niche/site, and duplicate whatever it is you did to pull in $500/month.

Set this up on another network, different registrar/whois, etc... and leverage the authority from your existing site, to help build up your new site.

Once you hit $500/month on this new site, do this all over again (leverage your existing sites to help build up your newest sites) until you have spent all of your initial investment (4k) building a massive network. A good goal to start with is 100 sites.

Why don't you start a membershipsite? It's recurring income and they don't need to cost that much.

You could also learn to flip sites and flip some longterm. And some of the sites can you keep for yourself to earn ongoing revenue.
