For those not keeping track, the day began with rumors of 3AC getting margin called:

Well, whatever may be happening, one of their partners just confirmed that something is :

My take: the crypto crash was initially caused by a different stablecoin dumping on us. They crashed the prices by dumping all they had for some desperate U$.

This led to the 3AC reaction: when they saw the other guy dumping, they immediately started dumping too to cover their own margins. But it now seems it wasn't early enough to react. Prices crashed, downward spiral.

We hadn't heard from anyone at 3AC for days. Now we have.

Still no word from Kyle yet tho https://twitter.com/KyleLDavies

Now for the good news.

It seems like they already sold most coins they had. So...most damage is already factored into current prices. IF SO, then we might see a nice recovery in the coming weeks.

And for the usual disclaimers:

None of this is official info, it's just guessing based on twitter and telegram buzz. Do your own fucking research. If symptoms persist go see a fucking doctor. Cheers.

I don't know why, but I feel like it's not over yet. Expect 500-600 USD price range for ETH.

We share the same thoughts here. Seems like some "big" guys got liquidated (except MicroStrategy which is HODLing tight :P) and all is over.
New investment companies will jump on the crypto train and things will start to move in a different direction IMO.

I'm too lazy to write this myself so,

Coinbase firing its employees can be because their reduced revenue as people are trading less.

I'm sorry a nice recovery of what exactly?

Corn. Recovery of corn.

Plz ETH fill by bids at 700 thank you

If that does happen, 3AC will be liquidated.

For sure. It's more about crypto price than actual trading. These companies make the bulk of their $$$ from crypto valuation, the trading fees are probably just to cover operational costs. With Bitcoin 60% down, they gotta cut costs.

UPDATE ON 3AC

Donno how accurate this is. Take it with a grain of salt as with everything else in crypto.

Rumours that DCG (digital currency group) will buy out 3AC and their debt.

Bullish if true.

So part of 3ACs position was liquidated by BlockFi already this past weekend. Hence the current drop in prices. It was today in Financial Times.

3AC apparently managed treasuries of almost all DeFi projects that were popular during this alt season. (So they gave 3AC all the money they got from their investors.) Now 3AC is reportedly ghosting them.

This is probably reliable
