no, on my count this is the 876th time.
@websitedesign this blog is quite solid, so yes this is quite valid, but as always, nothing is carved in stone in SEO.
You can use social signals to "detox" the domain and send links to your money site in maybe a week.
E.g. I use socialser.net plugin and set up GSA SER to share all my money sites, tier 1 links, PBN links every 15 - 30 minutes on random social network (Twitter, Facebook, Google+). Shows google there is constant social activity going on. It just works for me.
