302 Redirect advice

    Hi guys if i redirect (302) siteA with PR0 to siteB with PR4 at the next PR Update siteA will get PR4?

    I'm nearly positive that it doesn't. Why a 302 and not a 301? a 301 will pass at least most of the page rank over time.

    Absolutely not. Site A will not gain anything. 302 is code for a temporary redirect. It lets an engine know that the site has moved but only temporarily. You should use a 301 redirect to pass on link authority.

    That being said, redirecting a site will not pass on all link authority to the next domain. It is somewhere in the neighborhood of about 10% of the authority that will be passed on.
