Has anybody been able to use redirects to take over a niche WITHOUT getting penalties weeks/months later? I'm debating on whether or not I'll be able to use this as a long-term ranking solution to my money site. Just something that'll last upward to 6-12 months, I banked hard with SAPE/Russian networks before but wanted to go a different route.

I'm trying to figure out why the penalties occur in the first place. Is it because they're 301ing penalized domains to their money sites to begin with? Or is it because they're getting an influx of thousands of links at once? Is it because most blackhatters are 301ing an obvious number of domains (i.e - 10+ redirects to one site)? Would they have been 'ok' if they only redirected 1-4 instead? If someone whose tested it thoroughly before could chime in, that'd be great.

I guess most BH take advantage of the fact that link juice flows more fast while the penalty takes some time to pass on. Again my assumption as i have no experience with the 301 method.

    Possibly,

I've seen a few people say they didn't get penalties from it though, while others saying it's unavoidably going to happen...
