Hi,
Noobie here, please be gentle!
I'm creating a new WordPress site for a client and in setting up Yoast SEO, I noticed in the old site the previous designer had allowed Yoast SEO to set-up an xml sitemap to include all media attachments. This created 3000+ media attachment uls to various images.
The "old" images will not be used in the new site, and I will disable media attachments in Yoast SEO in the new site. In order to protect SE rankings, do I need to set-up 301 redirects for all these old sitemap links?
Thanks,
Ken.
