301 Redirection From Site A To B

I had redirected one of my old site to another domain and then I added the redirection to Change of URL tool of webmaster.

But when I do a search of site:myoldsite.com

I can see the old domain indexed but the Title I see of post is of my new domain where I redirected.

Is this right?

Also how much time does it take for backlinks effect to show in new domain ?

As far i know it depend on how big your website data is, the fastest progress i have felt from my experience is 7 days.

The domain which I am talking about in this thread. I redirected it Because the old site once used to rank but after google updates it was gone.

2 Days back I have redirected another domain to this one, It was an expired domain with some good links but IDK why it was not ranking like I expected it to be.
