    Hi guys,

    Im kind of new here, at posting at least.
    Have had some great help from this forum during the last year or so.

    So I have a blog with a lot of different articles. Some of them are something along the lines of "best this and that product for July"
    And I have one of these every month. Now I´d obviously want people to get the most up to date info, but I have a whole bunch of people clicking in from google to some of the older articles. Like a lot of them, even if the titles is very clear on the month in question.

    So now I´d like to 301 the older articles to the newest one every month. Basically only for user experience. I´d only want to know if there would be any downsides to this in the eyes of Google?

    301 redirection does not affect google as it is consider a permanent redirect

    I have a question concerning 301 redirect;

    I have bought one domain with great links but the site was in english and i wrote some articles in french now and all are indexed

    Now what option do you think the best :

    1 Redirect this site to my main site ( in french )

    2 Place a link to my main site

    Thanks for advice

    Redirect to your main site in french, as google tends to favor website the same language. English posts in english site. Because of the way google search work by geographic and language. If a person in us, select french as his language in google, french language site will be given priority over english.

    Hope this here

    The correct method would be a canonical redirect in this situation.

    Yes you could do that, redirecting visitors to better quality information on the same topic is a good idea.
