Hello,

A little tricky question here which i hope i'll get it answered.

I had a little anchor text over optimization on my new website inner pages. Little more than 15% exact keyword with only GSA SER contextual backlinks.

I'm still building my website so i decided to change my permalink structure from domain.com/post-name to domain.com/category/post-name... So after changing the permalinks structure i got fresh new urls for the posts with no links pointing on them.

So my question is. Will the over optimized anchor text pass if I 301 redirect the old urls to the new ones? Or only the link juice will? :aargh4:

Please explain as deeply as you can.

Thanks,
FilipMKD.

Both will pass but why change permalink to a less seo friendly format and your site has other long term problems if you are sending GSA links direct to your site...unless its a short term churn and burn project.

How the fuck both will pass? And why you think that the domain.com/category/post permalink is less seo friendly ?

I don't get why should the anchor text pass too .

One of my money sites has 301 redirect from 5 random expired domains and I only came to see link juice getting passed, NOT the anchor distribution as I can see in my Ahrefs data. And guess what the site is ranking well in serp as well. So, NO, anchors do not overlap.

When you 301 a page, the page you are 301ing to gets every SEO benefit the previous one has. It is a simple way of saying, we mvoed our page from place A to place B.

Why not build more links to dilute the exact anchor text instead?

I had the same thing figured out with domains... But i don't know what's the case with inner pages of a single website.

Because i want to use the domain.com/category/post permalink.

You ask a question and cause you are not happy with the answer you start swearing?? What a fucking IDIOT!!

See accelerator dd's post: When you 301 a page, the page you are 301ing to gets every SEO benefit the previous one has. It is a simple way of saying, we mvoed our page from place A to place B!

Of course the actual anchors will not show in ahref as only the 301 url will show but 301 means exactly the above. You are passing everything to new URL!

And how many sites do you see using category/permalink? Should partly answer your question.....FUCKING IDIOT!!

Dude... relax.

I wasn't swearing at the guy who answered. And I was discussing this.

The point that you don't understand, and making me idiot, says how big one you are. :)

OP, if you don't like someone's opinion, just ignore their post and appreciate it. No point in turning an SEO thread into a personal fight.

What I meant by that was, why not make a 301 to the new permalink structure that you want, and after all the links are redirected, and the anchor text diversity is too high ON THE NEW URL per your new permalink structure, just build more links with other anchors s othe % goes down.
