301 redirect

i recently got 2 domain.these are similar niche site. i published 2 post in first domain and posted 15 in second domain.both are 4 months old now . first domain is ranking in 5th page .i would like to do a301 to second domain now.do i need to delete the content from first domain and again create a new post in second domain then 301 from the first domain. is this correct method.

you don't need to delete anything, when you 301 redirect it will be automatically deindexed from Google.

But if it'w ranking well why would you want to redirect it??

Why don't you just use it for other purposes? It would be a waste, if it's doing well and you just choose delete it. Just a thought.
