Hi!

I'd like to change the sctructure of my site and as a result I'll have to change tne names of the pages.

Is it good to use 301 redirect for new pages? Or maybe you've used some other techniques

thanks!

You can either use 301 or 'header:location' whichever one you prefer. With the 301 you'll keep your link juice.

htaccess 301 is what I would do, code below:

Code:

Redirect 301 /old-page.html http://www.mydomain.com/new-page.html

I prefer 301 through .htaccess, to transfer the old pages link juice and PA to new page, it is good to go with 301 redirect and then generate new xml sitemap and submit in webmaster tools. Remove unnecessary pages from the server

+1 for 301 redirect in .htaccess, that way you'll keep your link juice too.
