301 redirect removal problem

I removed a 301 redirect from site A to site B.


The removal was a success but when you go in Google and do site:A.com, it still shows site B appearing. By that I mean, it still shows my authorship, title tag, and meta description from site B.


How do I get Google to remove this ASAP?

I think it's take two weeks or so .
Google recommend to keep redirect 180 days at less

I misread that. Just do a manual fetch on Site B if you can in webmaster tools, or tweet\retweet Site B's domain. Google will see the perm. redirect and will update accordingly. This may speed it up.

Either way, I agree with the above statements about it just taking some time. Might as well try to kick start the process if you're growing impatient though. I find social signals beneficial for indexing purposes alone.

As the others mention, it will just take time for Google to start showing your site A URL in SERPs. The 301 tells Google that a site or page has moved permanently so Google tends to drop the domain that is being redirected from out of SERPs.

You could probably speed up the process of getting it indexed by submitting it via webmaster tools and getting a lot of social interaction on the domain. For the most part though it's a time issue.
