301 redirect question.

Have anyone tried free hosting for 301 redirects and what results did you get? i`m thinking of taking a free host put there a domain, block crowlers with robo.txt and spam that domain to death to redirect later for churn and burn. Do You think it is a good idea? Or a paid hosting would be better?
