301 redirect query

Just trying to clarify how 301 redirect works for SEO

I rencently bought a .info site with the same name as my site. i want to blast he .info site with scrapebox and xrummer then redirect this to my main site.

just wnated to clarify will i do this the same way you would when you redirect a site to another when the site is down?. will this not send a footprint back to me?

I would how this works exactly too.

Reason for doing this?

for scrapebox so your main site won't get penalized
