301 redirect low DR domain

I've found a expired domain that i would love to use to boost my website seo via 301 redirect.
The problem is the expired domain has really low DR- 1, but has about 20 high DR backlinks on it.
Even has crunchbase (91 DR) backlink. All backlinks are in same industry.
What is weird to me is that is has only DR of 1.

Would you use this expired domain for SEO 301? I have a week old site and only a few backlinks, im in process of building the site up.

Crunchbase backlinks are nofollow, you wanna check if the backlinks are do follow or not before you wanna buy a domain for 301 redirect.

90%+ chance that it won't do anything. It's just too small and it doesn't matter if it has a couple decent links. Good for a PBN, meh for a redirect.

Redirects tend to do more harm than good if you don't know what you are doing. They are not a miracle ranking method most people think it is and more often than not, they screw up your site. This one is too small to screw anything I believe, but that applies for positive results as well.

Is it closely related to your money site at least?
 
I doubt you will get any noticeable benefit from doing that. Stick a website on it, get a few more backlinks over time and stick a link or two from that site to your money site. You'll get more benefit from doing that.
 
Yeah, DR 1 is odd with those backlinks, but if they’re legit and niche-relevant, it’s worth testing. Just monitor for indexing and any sudden drops. Might give a decent boost if your new site is clean and optimized.
